The Heart of It All
Ashley is the heart behind RudeDog Distillery.
She reminds us every day what truly matters — kindness, patience, joy, and creating space for people to be exactly who they are. Through Ashley, our family learned the importance of slowing down, listening more closely, and leading with compassion.
Her presence shaped RudeDog from the very beginning. Not just as a distillery, but as a place built with understanding, inclusion, and genuine connection at its core. Ashley’s influence is why RudeDog is intentionally welcoming, why comfort matters as much as craft, and why everyone who walks through our doors belongs.

The Name & The Dogs
Rudy & Smoky
Rudy was our family’s first dog — and in many ways, the beginning of everything.
He was a family dog through and through, but he was also Ashley’s therapy dog, her constant companion, and a source of comfort and unconditional love. Because of him — and our last name — the name RudeDog was born.
When Smoky joined our family two years before Rudy passed, we didn’t yet know how important that timing would be. Smoky stepped in naturally, carrying forward Rudy’s role for Ashley and for our family. Different in personality but equal in heart, Smoky became the next chapter of that same bond.
RudeDog Distillery is named in honor of that legacy — of loyalty, comfort, and the quiet ways dogs can shape a family’s life. Rudy gave us the name. Smoky carries it forward.
The Future
Our Growing Family
RudeDog Distillery is built on family — past, present, and what’s still to come.
Our son Ryan, his wife Jenny, and our first grandchild, Jack, represent the future we’re building. They remind us that everything we’re creating today is also for the generations to come — rooted in connection, belonging, and shared moments that last.
